Darjeeling black tea
If any tea is considered rare, exclusive, and highly sought after, it is Darjeeling. In the endless tea plantations under the Himalayas, it is mostly harvested by women. That is why Darjeeling has a lady holding a tea branch in its logo. The harvesting and processing of the tea are accompanied by gentle care and sensitivity to the precious character. The youngest and rarest tea leaves of the tea plant need to be treated with tenderness and love.
Darjeelings have a sweet, harmonious, sometimes peppery flavour that reflects notes of flowers and fresh air. They come from the high mountains where they acquire a truly unique flavour. They are harvested several times in succession, and the first harvest takes place with the first young wine. As black teas often do, they offer a range of health benefits in addition to an exceptional taste experience. They boost immunity and can help with colds and stomach irritations or optimise blood sugar.
