A taste of spring in every sip – a bit of a poetic metaphor, but such extraordinary tea is worth every flowery word. Tea leaves from the first harvest of the Oak garden in Darjeeling travelled here as fast as they could so you could enjoy their unique freshness and floral aroma. This tea was manually harvested and offers a mild, golden infusion with slightly sweet taste and an elegant floral tail. It’s a perfect companion for relaxing afternoons and the ideal gift for a true tea connoisseur.

Origins
A novelty that will delight all lovers of elegant teas. It got here from the prestigious Oaks tea agrden as quickly as possible; we wanted it to retain maximum freshness and aroma for you. This exceptional tea, marked with the letters SFTGFOP1 (Specialty Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe), comes from a harvest made at the best possible time – spring, when the tea trees are sprouting new, young leaves after a long winter's sleep.
Oaks Plantation is located in the misty hills of Sonada, between the famous tea gardens of Darjeeling and Kurseong, at an altitude of around 1,500m. Established in the early 20th century, this relatively young plantation has quickly earned its place amongst the established tea producers. It produces around one ton of tea each year, confirming its preference for quality over quantity.
Spring is a special time in Darjeeling. As the warm days arrive, the tea plants begin to sprout delicate, lush green leaves. These are the foundation of all Darjeeling first flush teas – their taste is light, floral, with a distinct freshness and a hint of sweetness. Hand-picking, carried out by experienced workers, focuses on the youngest two leaves and the bud. Subsequent careful processing in the factory on the plantation helps to preserve the specific character and delicate flavor of this tea.
Darjeeling, at least in the tea industry, is an actual trademarked term. Its unique climatic conditions, altitude and traditional processing methods make its teas among the most sought-after in the world. Each plantation brings a slightly different flavor profile and Oaks stands out among them for its purity, florality and excellent value for the price.
