About Manutea
Be Manu
Who’s Manu? That’s us. And now it’s you, too. Don’t believe us?
By looking around our shop, you’ve already been lured into the tangle of colors, smells and flavors. Now, whenever you think about brewing a nice cup of tea, your brain will signal to you: tea, that means Manu! Our brand isn’t anything new – we’re building on the foundation of a premium loose-leaf tea distributor that emerged on the Czech market back in 2005. Its cozy little cottage from that time wasn’t enough to contains its spirit, and so it ventured to move into a better place.

And a better place it found – steady and spacious. Wisely, it kept what worked and took along all the experienced tennants, suppliers of premium teas, wide range of products, careful tidiness and a friendly attitude towards visitors… err, customers.
Manu is people
Because all our tea is handled by people. They pick the leaves, herbs and fruit, dry them, roll and sort them. No machines, just the reliable hands of young men and women who provide each tea with the care warranted and contribute to its tender beauty. No automated greenhouses, just the hands of experienced farmers from every corner of the world who give each harvest its unique character. In Latin, manus means hand; germanus means human and per humanus means friendly. And we combine the huManity with determination to provide the best quality coffee possible.

Welcome to the world of tea Manuacs.
In India, Manu is also the mythological progenitor of humans. It’s quite the story. A fish warned the king of an incoming flood – and just as he finished his ship, it appeared and devastated the land. Manu tied his vessel to the fish and it guided him to safety. However, when the waters lowered again, he was alone in the world. So, he ventured to sacrifice milk and butter to the sea. After a year, a woman emerged in the place of his sacrifice – and humanity was saved.
Shh… Manu tea isn’t our only brand…
