Lady's mantles - this is the one that decorates itself every morning with a drop of dew. The ground rosette of hairy, ciliate leaves makes it easy to recognize this plant. This perennial from the rose family is found almost everywhere in Europe and grows partly in Asia and North America. Lady's mantles prefers meadows, moist woods, roadsides and streamsides. It blooms with yellow-green flowers from May to September.
The blooming top and leaves are collected for medicinal purposes. Folk medicine uses a high content of tannins and essential oils for proper liver, kidney and bladder function. Lady's mantles relieves women from menopausal symptoms and is antispasmodic. Externally, it is suitable for non-healing wounds, mouth rinses and eye problems. It is also used in reducing tea mixtures.
