Origins
Herbal blends designed to support women’s well-being have a stable place in traditional herbal medicine. They combine plants that support the body’s natural processes, relieve tension, and contribute to overall well-being. Three herbs play a key role in this blend, so let's take a closer look at them.
Lady's mantle (Alchemilla vulgaris) is an unassuming herb with small fan-shaped leaves that catch the morning dew, making the leaves look as if covered in tiny pearls. It grows primarily in the meadows and pastures of Europe. You'll often find it at higher altitudes. In traditional herbalism, it's considered one of the most important herbs for women’s health. It supports hormonal balance and helps alleviate menstrual discomfort.
Lady’s mantle is rich in:
- tannins,
- flavonoids,
- salicylic acid.
You can recognize yarrow (Achillea millefolium) by its finely separated leaves and tiny white or pinkish flowers arranged in flat inflorescences. It often grows in meadows, on hedgerows, and along roadsides throughout Europe and Asia. It's valued for its relaxing effect on smooth muscle and its support of proper blood circulation, making it a common ingredient in tea blends targeting that time of the month.
Yarrow provides:
- essential oils,
- flavonoids,
- tannins.
Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) is an aromatic herb with finely serrated leaves that release a pleasant lemony scent when touched. It originates from the Mediterranean region, but is now cultivated all throughout Europe. Lemon balm is known for its calming effects – it helps relieve tension, promotes quality sleep, and supports overall mental well-being, which is crucial during stressful periods of time.
Lemon balm offers:
- essential oils,
- polyphenols,
- flavonoids,
- rosmarinic acid.
Other ingredients in the blend, such as chamomile, nettle, and mint, contribute to a sense of calm, support digestion, help reduce bloating, and generally harmonize the body when you need and deserve that extra special care.
Herb packaging preview
We pack our herbs in a strong, zip-lock aluminum packet which allows you to easily re-seal its contents. Thanks to the hermetic seal, the herbs are protected against humidity, light and foreign odors, all of which could noticeably affect the quality of the brew and the herb itself.
