They give the tea its unique flavour and aroma, sometimes described as earthy, reminiscent of damp leaves or moss.
Pu Erhs are pressed into various shapes, weighing from 2 to 500 grams (but also higher). You can find nests, bricks, or flat shapes. Quality-pressed Pu Erh naturally ages, its flavour rounds out, and its astringency decreases with proper storage.
