When you pour them into the palm of your hand, you can recognise the individual tea leaves, smell the real fruit and admire the colourful spices used. An

English morning without black tea? Unthinkable!

A typical representative of flavoured black tea is Earl Grey. As in most tea stories, the Chinese Mandarin worked here. He is said to have given the recipe for an exceptionally tasty tea to the British Prime Minister. That was in the 19th century, just after Prime Minister Grey drank the tea flavoured with bergamot essential oil. He was very delighted with it, so he began to spread it throughout the British Isles. Earl Grey became a fixture in local households very quickly. To this day, he is as much a part of England as Her Majesty the Queen.
