It contains a high amount of theine. Usually, the tea trees used to produce Gunpowder are planted in China's Zhejiang province. The hilly landscape and unique microclimate give their leaves unique characteristics. Therefore, they are handled with extreme care. The tea must not come into contact with aromatic substances during hand harvesting and processing. The workers are forbidden to smoke, use perfume or even consume spicy food. After rolling, the tea leaves are roasted in large pans. Hence their smoky aroma.
