Ingredients
Green tea, Nana mint (spearmint), Natural aromaBrew & Taste
Chinese green tea is renowned for its quality. When mixed with dried spearmint, the result is just slightly astringent and very refreshing. The aroma of Touareg tea is the same – minty, windy, natural. After brewing, the tea gives a light yellow infusion.
Touareg Premium can also be enjoyed as an iced tea. Just fill the glasses up to 2/3 with ice cubes and pour the warm tea over them. Optionally, you can flavor Touareg with sugar or honey.
Origins
Zhejiang Province is located in the southeast of China. It is bathed by the East China Sea to the east and, although it is on the coast, 70% of its area is covered by mountains. More than 3,000 islands and islets belong to Zhejiang. The climate is naturally humid with four seasons. Spring begins in March and is rainy with quickly changing weather. From June to September, the province experiences hot and very humid summers. Autumn is characterized by dry, warm weather and plenty of sunshine. Winters are short but cold. The average annual temperature is around 15-19°C. In late summer, Zhejiang has a high risk of typhoons.
The green tea for Touareg was harvested on a small plantation that is tended by a farmer and his family using traditional methods. They harvest the leaves of Chinese tea trees mostly by hand and steam them after they wilt to stop the natural oxidation of the enzymes. The tea thus retains its fresh green color and valuable health benefits.
We have blended Chinese green tea with an herb whose health benefits and delicious taste are taking the world by storm. Spearmint is a plant with a strong aroma belonging to the family lamiaceae. It has been used as far back as ancient Egypt, and the English even carry it in their wallets, supposedly to protect them from impuslive purchases.
