Organic chlorella has a vibrant green color and a slightly grassy or "sea" taste. You may not like it on its own, but you can try adding a little powder to a fruit or vegetable drink.

Origins

This green powder we import from certified Chinese producers is neither ground spices nor tea dust. It is a purely natural unicellular algae that has been dried at low temperatures so that it loses none of its unique properties.

Chlorella is an increasingly popular superfood and literally a "discovery" by healthy lifestyle enthusiasts. Yet it has inhabited the planet for 2.5 billion years. The unicellular algae is found in both clean salt and fresh waters. Those who look at it under a microscope will see chains or clusters of spherical cells 2-10µm in size. It reproduces very quickly because it only needs carbon dioxide, water, sunlight and small amounts of minerals to live and grow. Chlorella contains green photosynthetic pigments and scientists estimate that it produces up to a third of all the oxygen in the world. It is incredibly tough, surviving in hot springs as well as extreme Arctic environments.

Chlorella is an example of the simplest life form on Earth. It is part of the food chain as well as a producer of oxygen. In addition, it is the most concentrated source of chlorophyll and nucleic acids. The presence of a unique growth hormone, CGF (chlorella growth factor), has also been shown to make the algae reproduce very quickly and efficiently. It contains vitamins B, A, D, C, lutein, iron, calcium, zinc, phosphorus and iodine.

This algae is grown in water, which in the case of organic production happens under very strict conditions. The only processing it undergoes is very slow and gentle drying at low temperatures. Any other process would destroy the valuable enzymes. Thus, unlike pills, we have a completely pure product without fillers, dyes or other industrially added substances.

We pack our herbs in a strong, zip-lock aluminum packet which allows you to easily re-seal its contents. Thanks to the hermetic seal, the herbs are protected against humidity, light and foreign odors, all of which could noticeably affect the quality of the brew and the herb itself.
