Ingredients
100 % Green tea Yunnan OPBrew & Taste
Green Yunnan OP is characterized by its sweet and smoky flavor. The infusion is a dark yellow color and the aroma is pleasantly fresh. The leaves are gently twisted, light green to silvery. The taste is full, natural and authentic. The biterness is barely noticeable and the caffeine content is at a healthy medium.
Origins
The tea plants that grow in China are characterized by their small, dark green leaves. They are planted in rows on plantations and are first harvested about three years after seeding. The quality of the tea depends on many factors, from soil conditions, altitude and climate to the care given to the plants and of course, processing. The higher Camellia sinensis tea trees grow, the smaller the leaves and harvest. On the other hand, their flavor is fuller and more popular.
Green Yunnan OP is characterized by the so-called Orange Pekoe (OP), the first tea leaves adjacent to the shoot. It's a standard tea of good quality, flavorful and pleasant. It is harvested early in the morning and the leaves must be transported for processing, or de-enzyming, within two hours of harvesting. Fermentation is prevented in China most often by pan-frying. In this way, the naturally sweet taste of the leaves is joined by a very pleasant smokiness. The leaves are then shaped and dried, usually several times in quick succession.
Because Yunnan tea grows high in the mountains, it does not come into contact with any industrial pollution. The tea plants are grown without pesticides and processed using traditional methods, mostly by hand. This is why they have the great balance, full flavor and characteristics of organically grown crops.
