Origins
Although Vietnam is one of the world's leading green tea producers, the popularity of their tea is mostly locked to Asia. Fortunately, this is gradually changing and the extraordinary Vietnam Green in our offer is proof of that. For the people of this Asian country, the ritual of drinking tea is still very important today. They believe that the initial bitterness of the drink reflects their hard work, while the subsequent sweet taste mirrors a sensitive and loyal soul.
They consider the environment in which the tea plant grows to be one of the most important factors in the creation of a premium tea. That is why they are careful about the quality of water and the unpolluted nature around the tea plantations. Organic farming has been gaining popularity in recent years and teas with the organic label have long maintained the highest quality, which is reflected in the taste and aroma.
Vietnam Green comes from the mountainous region of Ban Lien in Lao Cai province. It is grown at an elevation of 900m. The cool climate there suits it very well and gives it a slightly spicy note. Compared to other Vietnamese green teas, it is unique in its production. The oxidation is not done in a pan, but by slow steaming, as is the case with Japanese teas. The loosely rolled, evenly shaped leaves retain their bright green color and fresh aroma.
The caffeine content is on the borderline between the stronger Chinese green tea and the milder Japanese one, so you can therefore enjoy it throughout the day without having to count sheep to fall asleep. To take your Vietnam Green experience to the next level, try the ancient Gong Fu Cha brewing method. Thanks to this method, you will enjoy the tea with all your senses and a cup of delicious infusion will be a perfect oasis of calm.
