Fog Tea – Organic Green Tea
Fog Tea is a noble tea cultivated in the mists of the high mountains. We brought it from a tea garden located above the Yangtze River and Lake Poyeng. The sparse sunrays barely touch the Fog Tea plants; That's why it's extremely rich in chlorophyll, aromatics and polyphenols. It's sweet and appealing to tea beginners and seasoned tea drinkers alike.
Ingredients
100 % Organic China Fog TeaBrew & Taste
This truly exceptional tea has a delicious sweet flavor and a unique fresh aroma. When brewed, it gains a green-ish color and smells like fresh grass and roasted chestnuts. It's a strong tea with a unique, elegant and lasting flavor.
Origins
Fog Tea is grown high in China's Wu Lu Mountains, hidden in a cover of clouds. It doesn't get much sunlight and grows almost entirely in the shade. This makes it partly similar to Japanese Gyokuro tea, which is shaded artificially. The limited sunshine, high altitude, and ample moisture and humidity are the reasons why Fog Tea is full of intense aroma and flavor that leaves a wonderfully balanced tail.
When harvesting, only the best shoots are picked from Camellia sinensis tea trees. On the day of harvesting, they must be transported for processing, where they stop oxidation and are rolled into small hooks. It is estimated that 100,000 tea leaves need to be collected and processed to produce 1kg of tea.
