Sea Buckthorn Cream – Rooibos
One comes from the northern hemisphere, the other from the southern. One grows to six metres, the other barely reaches the size of a schoolboy. We love one for its juicy fruit, the other for its needle-like leaves. Did you guess them? Sea buckthorn and rooibos are the protagonists of a beguiling play about harmony, health and happy mutuality. Opposites attract...
Ingredients
85 % Rooibos, 10 % Sea buckthorn berries, Natural aroma, SunflowerBrew & Taste
Smooth and extremely delicate – that's the taste of Sea Buckthorn Cream loose-leaf tea. It comes from sweet Rooibos and the special sweet and sour, slightly astringent taste of sea buckthorn berries. The infusion has a beautiful golden brown color and the aroma is full and sweet.
Rooibos is caffeine-free, so it's especially suitable for young children, pregnant and breastfeeding women and anyone who wants to feel good and look great.
Try this blend as an iced tea. It's perfectly refreshing and offers new and fresh flavors.
Origins
The origin of all of our teas is easy to trace. We buy them from proven suppliers who are among the best on the market. We import our rooibos from the Cederberg in South Africa, the only place in the world where Cape tea plants grow. The relatively low shrubs with long branches are extremely sensitive to humidity, soil quality, shading and rainfall. This is why their cultivation has not been successful elsewhere. They are harvested in early autumn by cutting the branches back to about 35cm. The branches and the leaves are chopped into smaller pieces and piled in heaps. The humidity and high temperature in these piles allows fermentation to take place. After 8-24 hours, the Rooibos is almost ready. At this stage, it has a brownish-red colour and a sweet-ish taste, and it's left to dry in the sun.
Other parts of this tea are sourced from our EU partners who supply us with the highest quality ingredients. We take the same care and consideration for the health of our customers when selecting flavoring. We do not use synthetic alcohol flavoring or nature-identical flavorings to enhance and harmonize the aromas. It's always a purely natural flavoring, which does not acidify the organism, does not contain health hazards and perfectly preserves the original aroma of the raw materials.
