Origins
Cozy Winter is built around high-quality rooibos, a tea harvested in South Africa from the Cape tea plant. It is not a ''real'' tea per se, those are strictly harvested from Chinese tea plants. Rooibos comes from an 150cm tall South African herb with needle-like leaves that grows endemically in a small area near Cape Town. It needs higher altitudes and heavy rains to grow. Locals also call it ''redbush''. After harvesting, the green leaves undergo fermentation under the hot African sun, giving them their typical mahogany color. Rooibos is very popular in the world. It is an antioxidant, caffeine-free and tastes simply delicious.
