Reishi – Organic Mushroom Powder
Does it prolong life? Judging by the fact that reishi translates to "divine mushroom of immortality", we might hope so. In any case, the powder from Ganoderma lucidum has been used to combat many ailments for over 4,000 years. The Chinese emperor Shen Nong called the mushroom the best of plants in the first book of traditional Chinese medicine. It would be a shame not to give it a chance. Let it show what it can do!
Ingredients
100 % Reishi BIOBrew & Taste
The dark brown powder tastes bitter, but not unbearably so, slightly sweet at the end. The aroma is mild and barely noticable.
Origins
Reishi is often called the "red mushroom". Its annual sporocarp is reddish-brown to purple in color. The fungus, a member of the Ganodermaceae family, parasitises dead deciduous trees and hardwood stumps. The botanical name Ganoderma lucidum refers to the truly shiny surface of the fungus.
The native habitats of reishi are found in several Asian countries. Therefore, it can also be found under the names Lingzhi (in China), Nam Linh Chi (in Vietnam) or Yeong Ji (in Korea).
The mushroom is not eaten fresh because it is somewhat woody. However, it is commonly made into an extract, or used as a dried form for making tea. Another way to consume reishi is to add a 100% natural powder made from the dried mushroom to your diet.
Pregnant and nursing women or people with impaired blood clotting should avoid using reishi.
