Origins
You can probably tell we didn't harvest the ingredients for this tea in our garden. Each has a different origin, yet we buy them all in one place – from our certified supplier. Not only does it save labor and costs, but also provides a number of certifications to prove the highest quality of all ingredients. They come from controlled farming, so they contain no residues of fertilizers or sprays.
Licorice is about a 1m tall perennial. Its roots, harvested in the fall, are used for medicinal purposes. It is widespread in central Europe.
Cassia cinnamon is native to Burma and is also cultivated in Thailand, Indonesia and southern China. It is harvested from the bark of the cinnamon tree, which grows up to 10m but is often kept at 2m on plantations. It has a coarser bark than the Sri Lankan cinnamon and a redder color.
Fennel looks a bit like dill. It grows wild in the Mediterranean and Asia. Its fruits are famous for their excellent health benefits, and it is also popular in French and Italian cuisine.
Clove is the dried flower of the clove tree, which is native to the Moluccas. It is popular not only as part of medicinal herb mixtures, but also for flavuoing many dishes.
Basil is one of the herbs that is widely used in our cuisine. It grows as a shrub in Africa and South America, but is widespread throughout the world.
The goal of Ayurveda is to achieve the best possible balance between body and mind. Its tools are special dietary principles, exercise, meditation, massage and herbal therapies. You can enjoy one of these with Natural Wellness.
