Lingonberry Pu Erh
Proanthocyanidins, polyphenols, hippuric acid... We're not chemists, so we don't get it either. But we can confidently say that pu erh and lingonberries are super beneficial and can support not only your bones and ligaments, but also your immunity. And that's a fact proven by both scientists and lovers of this tea alike.
Ingredients
95 % Red tea Pu Erh, 3 % Cranberries, Natural aromaBrew & Taste
True Chinese pu erh is known for its earthiness and slight bitterness. Supplemented with freeze-dried lingonberries, it becomes a very refreshing tea, both as a hot drink and as an iced tea. The infusion is dark brown in color that can become opaque and carries a natural cranberry aroma.
Origins
Pu erh teas have a special charm. They are produced in only a few places in the world and their quality depends on many factors – from where and how the tea trees are grown, the choice of leaves harvested and the precise adherence to traditional recipes, to the length of the unique aging process. Traditionally, Pu Erh is produced in the Yunnan province of China. One bud and 3-4 leaves are always harvested from large leaf tea trees. They are first wilted in the sun, then heated in hot pans while farmers roll them up. This stops the activity of the enzymes. This is followed by drying and bottling. The tea is moistened and begins to ferment again thanks to the bacteria and mold that naturally cover the leaves. The tea leaves are pressed into nests, bricks or cakes and left in special aging conditions. The gradual fermentation transforms the originally green tea into red tea and attributes many health benefits to it.
By adding large lingonberries, we have made pu erh very refreshing and rich vitamins. The fruit we add to the loose teas is sourced from certified EU suppliers, and the cranberries have also been grown under organic farming. Their preservation has been extremely careful. The so-called freeze-drying process preserves up to 90% of the vitamins in the fruit. At the same time, the sensory properties have not been altered, so that the cranberries look, taste and smell as fresh after pouring hot water over them.
The natural flavoring does not contain any synthetic substances, so you do not have to worry about its negative effects on your health. Unlike nature-identical aroma, it does not cause heartburn, stomach irritation nor acidity.
