Benefits of Birch
A true lady among the trees. Slim and elegant, with an unmistakably ornate trunk. A symbol of new beginnings and purity. With the birch branch, spring is welcomed.
The birch tree is very familiar to everyone. Because of its appearance, unpretentiousness and fast growth, it is often planted in urban areas or forms groves in the open air. It can be found in abundance throughout the northern hemisphere. Over ten species are commonly found in this country alone, but the most famous is probably the white birch.
This tree offers a wide range of uses. The wood was used to make kitchen utensils, the pine sap and water were used for skin and hair, and the dried leaves were the only thing the grandmother of the spice-grower did not like. Together with the dried bark, they were a miracle of folk medicine.
Both are very easy to prepare infusions for internal and external use or tinctures. Birch trees are known to grow even in heavily polluted soils. They can clean contaminated soil and allow other plants to grow. For this reason, we do not advise the free collection of leaves in places where you are not familiar with them. When buying a dried mixture, it is better to check with the seller that the leaves come from a controlled source. The pleasant-tasting infusion can be sipped in normal quantities for as long as you like. However, you should consult your doctor if you suffer from allergies or high blood pressure. Also if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
