Origins
To put together Good Night's Sleep, we reached for well-established European herbs and fruits. All but the orange blossom are very familiar to Central Europeans. They were used by old folk healers and their extracts are still considered beneficial today.
Lemon balm and marigold belong to the arsenal of all folk healers. Lemon balm can be found in central Europe and Asia Minor, where it grows in sunny and sheltered places.
Heather does not appear very often in teas. We made an exception and happily used the fragrant sprigs of this forest shrub. Why? For one, they're said to bring good luck, and also they smell really nice.
Mint, one of the most famous plants, can be found in Eurasia, North and South America, New Zealand and Australia. The perennial with hairy, menthol-scented leaves is often grown in gardens or balconies in many varieties.
Chamomile grows in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. It's an unpretentious annual herb that's very popular for its flowers.
