This tea is easily distinguishable by its sweet aroma of oranges, almonds and cinnamon. The infusion has a rich yellow color, the taste is subtly sweet and honey-like. Of course, you can identify citrus fruits, but also almonds and cinnamon. The slight undertone of biterness betrays the green tea.
Origins
Pai Mu Tan is a Chinese white tea whose world-famous reputation and flavor need no explanation. This delicate tea, which does not undergo fermentation, was originally reserved exclusively for the imperial court. Its name translates as White Peony, maybe for their similarly light and scented character. White teas are whole-leaf and dried at low temperatures for an extremely long time. Their taste is very similar to the taste of fresh tea leaves. On the market, Pai Mu Tan can also be found under the name Bai Mu Dan.
Chinese green tea carries a similar fame around the world. Its mild astringency and range of flavors make it a front-runner in popularity. Of course, we must also mention the stimulating properties of green tea and its unique health benefits. Green teas are almost synonymous with China, and tea gardens and tea masters are held in high esteem. Chinese green tea is made by repeatedly steaming withered leaves and roasting them in a pan. This gives it a unique smoky aftertaste.
The other ingredients we use to blend Orange-Almond are sourced from organic farming. We buy them from certified European suppliers, who not only take care of harvesting and preservation, but also store and export the ingredients under very strict conditions. The fruit is freeze-dried and as a result retains its excellent flavor, color and aroma nor does it lose its vitamin content or other valuable substances.
This tea is flavored with a drop of natural aroma. It helps retain its flavor and amazing scent for a longer time. There is no need to worry about the natural aroma – it does not contain any synthetic fragrance carriers, so it does not cause heartburn nor high stomach acidity.
