This tea is dark yellow and the flavor is earthy, full of yerba maté with the subtle notes of aniseed and fennel. The impression is very natural, with an inoffensive aroma and a refreshing finish. In hot weather, it’s also a great base for an iced tea – the lower temperature unveils a more clean fruity-herbal taste.
Origins
In order to adhere to our principles and supply you with purely natural tea, we sourced all ingredients from a verified supplier in the EU. Their raw materials come from controlled agriculture, so there are no traces of industrial fertilizers or treatment products. Everything is preserved as gently as possible.
Maté is made from the leaves of the Paraguayan holly (Ilex paraguariensis), which are roasted and ground or crushed. It’s a drink popular with South American natives, and the shrubs grow mainly in northern Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and southern Brazil. Maté is popular for its many properties, especially as a healthier substitute for coffee. In addition to its effects on suppressing mental and physical fatigue, it also has a beneficial effect on water excretion from the body and lipid metabolism. Some people go as far as calling it ‘green gold’. Traditionally, you should drink it from a special vessel called a maté gourd. Drinking maté is a social event that provides an opportunity to strengthen friendships and engage in long debates.
Yerba Mate is valued for its content of:
- caffeine (often called mateine),
- polyphenols (chlorogenic acid),
- vitamins A, C, E, and B50,
- minerals (potassium, magnesium, manganese).
The second important ingredient in the Easy Diet herbal blend is rosehips, the fruit of the Rosa canina bush. It’s a shrub with upright branches and small thorns. The flowers are pink to white, and the fruit is elongated and bright red. It grows throughout Europe, especially on hedgerows and forest edges.
Rosehips contain:
- vitamin C (in high concentrations),
- carotenoids (lycopene, beta-carotene),
- flavonoids (rutin, quercetin),
- organic acids (malic, citric).
And thirdly, let's mention the leaves of the raspberry bush (Rubus idaeus), a shrub that grows up to 2 meters tall and is distinguished by its palmate leaves, white flowers, and red fruits – raspberries. It grows naturally in Europe and Asia and is now cultivated in many temperate regions. One of its most valuable effects is the support of normal digestion.
Raspberry leaves are rich in:
- tannins,
- flavonoids (quercetin, kaempferol),
- vitamins C and E,
- minerals (iron, calcium, magnesium).
