Ingredients
100 % Black tea Assam Hatimara CTC BOPOrigins
India is considered to be the cradle of tea, and Assam is where certain species of Chinese tea tree named Assamica grow. It is typical for its large leaves and the specific geographical conditions in which it thrives. Unlike other tea plants, Assamica needs a low altitude, frequent rainfall and high humidity. The area on the banks of the mythical Brahmaputra is just the perfect area. Thanks to the "greenhouse" combination of all-natural factors, the people there can grow and export exceptional and high-quality teas to the market.
The Assam Hatimara CTC BOP is very specific because of the way the tea leaves are processed. CTC stands for crushing-tearing-curling. It is clear that after harvesting, the wilted leaves are crushed, torn and rolled into small balls in a special roller. The juice released in the process is added back to the leaves. This is followed by the usual fermentation and drying in hot air. Tea processed with CTC technology is very strong and has a dark infusion with a full-bodied flavor.
