Ingredients
94 % Yerba Mate, Guarana powder, Lemongrass, Pot marigold, CornflowerBrew & Taste
The infusion of this flavored maté is pale yellow and slightly cloudy. This is caused by the ground guarana, which gives the drink an even more caffeine. The resulting taste is a combination of earthy maté, bitter guarana and juicy mango. It will intrigue, entertain and entice you to make another batch.
Origins
When one says yerba maté, you usually think of Brazil. The largest and most populous country in South America boasts, among other things, the largest tropical rainforest in the world. The Amazon rainforest is the home to Paraguayan holly (Ilex paraguariensis), from which yerba maté is made. The local Native Americans passed on the secret to the Spanish colonizers, who in turn passed it onto the world: word of a drink that promotes mental and physical vitality and drives away hunger spread quickly.
Yerba maté is firmly rooted in South American culture. It's enjoyed by people on the streets, farmers on the plantations and clerks in offices. Often, as in this case, it comes from organic plantations in the Laranjeiras near Rio de Janeiro. Their story begins in the 1970s, when the Somensi brothers decided to use their experience to set up a plant to produce high-quality yerba maté. With respect for tradition, the environment and the industry's values – you can read more on their website.
Paraguayan hollies are grown in the shade to give their leaves maximum health-beneficial flavonoids. Thanks to these and other valuable substances, regular maté consumers experience fewer digestive problems, cardiovascular function and premature cellular aging.
The Yerba Mate Energy blend includes finely ground guarana powder. The source of the so-called Brazilian cocoa is a climbing shrub that grows in Brazil, Ecuador or Colombia. Its properties have been known for hundreds of years. In addition to the stimulating caffeine, the seeds also contain theobromine and theophylline. Folk healing recommends guarana to eliminate physical and mental fatigue and support memory. The caffeine from guarana is absorbed slowly and its effects last up to 6 hours (approximately 2 hours longer than caffeine from coffee).
The pot marigolds we have added to the blend are rich in anthocyanins, flavonoids and mineral salts as well as manganese. Folk medicine therefore uses them for kidney issues.
This original blend supports your vitality, digestion and detoxifies the body. It's a natural source of energy and health.
