The brew from this tea has a light-yellow color and a mouthwatering aroma. Try for yourself and you’ll agree that it tastes even better than it smells. This combination of exotic fruits with apples and strawberries is a love at first sip.
You can brew this tea hot, but we recommend you try using it for iced tea. Infuse your tea as usual and then pour it over some ice cubes. Don’t forget to decorate with fresh fruit, too.
Origins
A unique tea blend needs some unique ingredients, of course. The fruit contained has been freeze-dried to preserve its look, aroma and fresh taste as well as its contents.
Let’s focus on mango, since it’s the star of this tea. It’s the fruit of the mango tree, which is an evergreen tree found in Asia. It can weigh up to 2kg, but more often weighs between 300-500g. It usually has an oval shape, green or greenish-yellow skin and deep yellow flesh. Its taste can be compared to that of a peach. Mangos are very juicy, sweet and appealing to the palate. It also contains many valuable nutrients.
According to botanists, mango trees may originate from South and Southeast Asia. They’re said to have been on Earth for 25-30 million years.
The other distinct ingredient is pineapple. The fruit of the pineapple tree contains bromalin and, of course, tastes good and juicy. It’s no wonder that it has found its way into a lot of European pantries even though pineapple trees are native to tropics and subtropics.
Not to leave out the contents of European herbs in this tea, let's name calendula – an herb that many gardeners grow for decoration and utility. This annual plant has an unmistakable yellow-orange flowers and can even substitute saffron in the spice cabinets.
