Brew & Taste

Bright, beautiful yellow infusion and a delightful citrus aroma you'll smell as soon as you pour hot water over Moringa Detox. The taste is similarly wonderful. Green tea gives it a slight astringency, the rest of the taste is made up by lemons, oranges and sage with lemon balm.

Origins

The ingredients for this tea are sourced from a few trusted suppliers, mostly based in the EU. Except for the moringa and the green tea, of course. The herbs and spices are tested for heavy metals and other health hazards, carefully dried and stored out of air and light to achieve 100% quality.

Moringa comes from an Indian producer. It is the dried leaves of a tree called the moringa oil tree, with a native range in the southern foothills of the Himalayas. Other than being one of the so-called superfoods, it holds the world's number one position in terms of growth rate. It grows up to 3m per year! It is not only cultivated for its leaves with their unique health effects: moringa can also be used to make mats and ropes from its bark as well as in cooking with flowers and herbs.

Chinese sencha is also worthy of attention. The traditional green tea is grown in the gardens of Fujian, Zhejiang or Yunnan. The harvested Chinese tea leaves are left to wilt and then either steamed to prevent oxidation or roasted in large pans. This gives them their typical smoky aroma. Finally, the tea is translated, dried and sorted by workers.
