Blooming teas are exclusively handcrafted, mostly in China's Yunnan province, which is considered the cradle of tea culture. This region in south-west China is renowned for its extraordinary natural diversity. You‘ll find hot and humid lowlands and mountainous areas with altitudes of over 2,000m. The subtropical climate, high humidity and good soil quality create ideal conditions for growing tea plants as well as aromatic flowers.
How did blooming teas come about? You will also find them on the market as flowering teas and their roots go deep into the Chinese tea tradition. The first references to these masterpiece teas date back to the Tang Dynasty (7th-10th centuries), but it wasn't until the 1980s that they became popular again. Since then, they have spread all over the world and have become not only a delicious drink, but also a popular gift and visual experience.
Milky Hibiscus represents traditional craftsmanship, the natural wealth of Yunnan, and innovative attitudes. Enjoy a moment of peace and watch a small treasure bloom in your teapot.
