Brew & Taste

After brewing, you’ll first notice rosehips, which make the tea pleasantly sour and dark colored. After that, cinnamon will release its familiar sweetness and aroma reminiscent of freshly baked gingerbread. Finally, chaga adds a slight yet rich earthy note.

Origins

Rosehips grow all around us, yet many people overlook them. They’re excellent for invigorating both body and mind. The fruits taste best after the first frosts, so if you harvest them then, they’ll be sweet and juicy. Their distinctive sourness is proof of their exceptionally high vitamin C content – even more than oranges or lemons. Our ancestors knew this, so it’s no wonder that rosehip teas and jams are popular to this day. And it's not just vitamin C; rosehips also contain vitamin A and minerals such as magnesium and calcium, which are essential for building bones and muscles.

Ceylon cinnamon comes from Sri Lanka, where it is obtained from the delicate layers of the cinnamon tree bark. Ceylon cinnamon is also referred to as true cinnamon and has a sweeter and more delicate flavor. It can even support breathing and digestion and, in addition, it contributes to normal blood sugar levels, refreshes the body, and supports normal cardiovascular system activity, digestion, and stomach function. It’s more than just a tasty treat for your palate – it’s also a powerful antioxidant, so it also supports the body, mind, and teeth.

Every housewife knows ginger, but few people know that this fragrant root is good for more than just delicious flavor. It helps maintain normal blood sugar levels and immune system function and supports the body's natural defenses, which we appreciate especially in colder weather. In addition, it contributes to the normal functioning of the cardiovascular system, aids normal digestion, and supports respiratory function. It’s become an indispensable helper not only in the kitchen but also in everyday health care.

Chaga is perhaps the most interesting ingredient in the entire blend. It’s contained in two different forms – this birch-loving mushroom grows in the coldest corners of Siberia and China, where the frost inhibits most plant plant-life to thrive. This is likely what makes Siberian as well as Chinese chaga such a powerful ingredient. People have been collecting them there for decades, knowing that they can strengthen the body when it needs it most.

Tip! In the colder months, prepare a larger amount of tea and take it with you in a thermos. A hot drink will warm you up and support your immunity throughout the day.
