Origins
First, let's mentioned something about the core of Mango-Peach black tea: an authentic Ceylon. It's traditional, high-quality fermented Chinese tea leaves (Camellia sinensis) from the hillsides of Sri Lanka. It's so popular that many frauds have tried and are still trying to create counterfeits, so to protect their brand, Ceylon tea always bears a logo of a lion with a sword. The tea leaves are harvested by workers and thrown into large baskets in which it is brought for processing. It must first be spread out on large slabs and left to wilt for a few hours. Then comes the mechanical disruption of the leaf structure, which starts the natural fermentation process. During this process, the tea not only changes color but also its aroma and taste. When an experienced processing manager considers the tea has reached its best characteristics, he sends it to the drying room. The carefully dried tea needs to be sorted and packaged after. Black tea can be combined with, for example, mango, to achieve wonderful results. That is how we created this blend.
Mango trees (Mangifera) are special for several reasons. They are around a 100 years old, grow to an impressive height – the tallest mango tree was 54m. The only distinction between various Magnifera species is their fruit. Mangoes weigh about 300g, are tasty and contain vitamin A and vitamins C and E. They are also rich in potassium, iron and magnesium. They are used not only in the kitchen to make jams, juices, confectionery and alcohol but also in folk medicine, where it is prescribed for diarrhea, neurological disorders and to strengthen the quality of nails, hair and skin.
Peaches may be more familiar to us than mangoes, but they are still worth mentioning. They are harvested from deciduous trees peach trees. Peaches are a very popular fruit, containing mainly vitamin C, sodium and magnesium, and can be eaten raw or made into jams, marmalades, juices, etc. If you like the fact that mangoes are called the fruit of the gods, then it will come as no surprise that peaches are called ''the fruit of the immortals''. Especially in China, peaches are a symbol of long life.
