Beautiful, dark amber infusion and rich fruity aroma – that's Spanish Tangerine. The flavor will remind you of a strong black tea with its typical astringency, but balanced with sweet fruits and surrounded by rose blossoms. Thanks to this, this flavored loose-leaf tea is pleasantly refreshing. You can even drink it in the summer! Try Spanish Tangerine as an iced tea. You will appreciate its refreshing and invigorating effects.
Origins
Black tea has been a part of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) since the mid-19th century. At that time, it replaced coffee on the island, which was wiped out by a rust epidemic. Tea trees (Camellia sinensis) are grown from the lowlands to the mountainous hillsides. Plantations cover 180 000 hectares and their production makes the country one of the world's major producers of the tea on market. In Ceylon, tea is grown in six main areas – Galle, Ratnapura, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Dimbulla and Uva. The harvest can go on three times a year due to favorable climatic conditions. It is tended by women who pluck the tea leaves by hand and place them in large baskets. The leaves are later transported to the factories where they're wilted, oxidized, aerated and broken. There is hardly any whole-leaf tea produced in Ceylon.
Spanish Tangerine is enhanced with orange peel, candied fruits, and rose blossoms. We bring them from verified EU suppliers who guarantee their quality with a certificate. We are therefore sure that the raw materials do not contain harmful substances. They are preserved by freeze-drying, which is a demanding process. Thanks to that, they retain all their beneficial properties and have the taste, aroma and appearance of fresh ones when poured over with hot water. The flavors we used are purely natural. The carrier of the aromatic substances is not synthetic alcohol, so you do not have to worry about stomach irritation or acidification of your body.
