Origins
For this blend, we’ve reached for herbs that every woman will appreciate. They’ll help her rediscover her lost energy and joy. Keep reading to learn how nature nurtures our inner goddesses.
The foundation of this tea blend is Tribulus terrestris, an unassuming, low-growing herb with tiny yellow flowers and distinctive thorny fruits. It's found primarily in warm regions, growing from the Mediterranean through Asia to Africa. In traditional herbal medicine, it's valued for its support of hormonal activity, energy, and overall physical vitality. It also contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, the cardiovascular system, and the body’s natural defenses.
Tribulus terrestris is rich in:
- saponins (protodioscin),
- flavonoids,
- alkaloids,
- tannins.
Damiana (Turnera diffusa) plays an equally important role. It's an aromatic shrub native to Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. It has small yellow flowers and finely serrated leaves that release a characteristic, slightly spicy aroma when dried. Damiana is traditionally associated with sexual health and vitality; it supports mental well-being, helps manage stress, and contributes to maintaining good cognitive function and normal blood sugar levels.
Damiana contains:
- flavonoids,
- terpenoids,
- bitter compounds,
essential oils.
Let’s not forget lemon balm (Melissa officinalis), one of the best-known European herbs. It grows up to one meter tall, has light green leaves with serrated edges, and small white to pinkish flowers. It's popular for its refreshing, lemony scent and grows primarily in Europe and Western Asia, often in gardens and in the wild. Lemon balm is sought after for its relaxing effects; it promotes peaceful sleep, mental balance, and hormonal stability, while also contributing to normal digestion and circulatory system function.
Lemon balm contains:
- essential oils (citral, citronellal),
- polyphenols,
- rosmarinic acid,
- flavonoids.
Other herbs in the blend delicately complement and enhance its effects and flavor profile. Chamomile contributes to normal digestion, immunity, and good sleep, while also promoting relaxation. Lavender helps induce mental well-being and peaceful rest. Calendula supports liver function, digestion, and the body’s natural cleansing processes. Together, they form a balanced blend that supports your body in a gentle yet comprehensive way.
