Benefits of pot marigold
The setting sun in a vase. That is how one could describe a bouquet of marigolds. The beautifully coloured flowers of a herb that is recognised by folk healers across the world, from our grandmothers to Ayurvedic writings.
Marigold is known by various names - for example, Poor Man's saffron for its colouring effects, or Mary's Gold (figuratively from the English vernacular name marigold). It loves sunny places and can be found throughout the temperate and partly subtropical zones of the northern hemisphere. The health benefits of marigolds have been known since ancient times and were recognised by folk herbalists and botanists behind the walls of monasteries. It is not surprising that the symbol of this annual plant has often been associated with Christianity and appeared in various spiritual ceremonies. It holds a revered position in Indian Ayurveda to this day.
Pot Marigold is usually used to prepare essential oils, tinctures or decoctions from the dried petals. Its flowers are also added to tea blends. There is no need for restrictions on its consumption.
