Ingredients
100 % White tea GuangxiBrew & Taste
Guangxi White Feather is light and pleasantly sweet. Its infusion is pale yellow in color and its aroma is strong and extremely cultured.
Origins
White tea from the Guangxi region may not be as well known as that from the Yunnan province, but it can easily match its quality. The local climate is humid and subtropical. It is harvested for a limited period of time in early spring. Only the young fluffy tea buds are plucked along with a few of the earliest leaves. The so-called tips of the bud give the tea a delicate and sweet taste. Harvesting is always done by hand and is carried out by local women and girls. They are able to distinguish good quality leaves and pluck them with gentle, skilled fingers. The production process involves wilting, steaming or pan-firing, drying and hand-rolling. Each step is closely supervized by the plantation manager, as one mistake can ruin the entire batch.
White tea is processed very gently, and it is often recommended to keep it in a cool, dry place. Refrigeration improves its flavor, but the temperature shocks that are caused by taking the tea out from the cold can impact quality. If you are already storing white tea in the fridge, only remove the amount you need and allow it to warm gradually to room temperature before preparing.
