Georgian Daisi – Red Tea

Code: 2043

Georgian Red Tea Daisi is the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. Farmers harvest it by hand during the full moon and new moon, when the tea plants absorb more water, and the earth gets more moisture. They combine indigenous practices with a modern technologies. Unsurprisingly, the results are a huge success. This tea is truly exceptional – honeyed, cocoa-like and mildly spiced.

Brew & Taste

When you brew Georgian Daisi Red Tea, a blend of cocoa, honey, subtle spicy touches and lemon envelop the entire room. Upon tasting, you will find that the infusion has a light, delicate and delicately silky texture. The balance of flavor, with a predominant maltiness, leaves a honeyed and round mouthfeel. The infusion has a beautiful mahogany color.

Origins

Although Georgian tea is often overlooked, Georgia is one of the best places to grow high-quality organic tea. Over the past 30 years, the country has gone from being a virtually unknown tea producer to one that is sought-after and in demand. Although Georgian tea was produced in large quantities during the Soviet era, it was of poor quality and less varied. Today, it is clear that it has enormous potential.

When Georgian tea is made traditionally, it has a complex, unique, slightly sweet taste. In Daisi tea in particular, you can recognize it in the first sip. It should be added that Daisi is made according to our adapted technology and is not Pu Erh. Wondering where Daisi comes from? Imagine a region with cold winters that naturally eliminate pests and diseases and allow the tea bushes to thrive organically. A region where tea bushes are not treated with harmful chemicals because the frost and snow will do the job. The extra winters help the tea bushes to rest and regain strength.

That gives their leaves a naturally sweet flavor, which is most noticeable in spring. Guria is a small but fascinating area rich in mineral waters, historical monuments and traditional wooden Oda houses that recall its long history. The Oda houses, with their long wooden balconies, provide an idyllic place to relax, perhaps with a cup of Daisi. Just imagine: as the sun slowly sinks behind the horizon, you savor every sip and feel free, relaxed, and joyful. That is what Daisi red tea is like.
