Origins
Traditional Pai Mu Tan white tea is mainly produced in the Fujian province in southeast China. Tea gardens there are usually harvested in late March and early April. Plucking the tea leaves is the task of the local women and girls who arrive early in the morning, before the dew falls. They pinch the leaves with their fingers or break them off with practiced movements. Only the young buds and a few adjacent leaves are used to make white tea. Thanks to silver fluff that coats the buds, the white tea is delicate and extremely fine. The leaves are left to wilt and then they are dried at low temperatures. At the same time, they are shaken and gently pressed. The short oxidation of the enzymes is stopped by steaming or drying.
The cherries and rose buds are supplied by our certified trade partners from the EU. They provide us with fresh and ripe fruit that has been freeze-dried, which allows the ingredients to retain all their sensory properties and up to 90% of their vitamin content. They do not contain any residues from industrial fertilizers, and they look, taste and smell as fresh after being submerged in hot water.
We also pay considerable attention to flavoring. To give the teas a balanced aroma and to not burden your body with heavy metals, we always choose purely natural aromas. These do not cause heartburn, irritate the stomach nor cause allergies.
