Ingredients
Green tea Sencha, 30 % Linden flower + leaf, 3 % Raspberries, AromaBrew & Taste
The base ingredient of Raspberry-Linden Bloom is green tea, which gives the infusion its characteristic yellow-green color. It has a slightly grassy aroma, balance and flavor, with a pleasant bitterness added to it. The addition of the sweet notes of raspberries and the delicate softness of linded blossoms creates an exceptionally balanced tea that tastes delicious whether it's hot or chilled.
This tea is great for making iced tea. Try pouring the lukewarm tea into a glass 2/3 full of ice cubes. You will get a deliciously refreshing drink.
Origins
China Sencha tea comes from the Huang Shan region, whose name can be literally translated as “Yellow Mountain.” It lies in Anhui Province in eastern China and is renowned for its stunning landscape. Tourists from all over the world admire its granite peaks, hot springs, pine trees, and winter snow cover. Huang Shan is also known for its tea gardens, which provide a livelihood for local people and supply the world with excellent green tea. One of these is China Sencha, which is harvested from local Chinese tea plants (Camellia sinensis) but processed according to a Japanese method. After harvesting, which is mostly carried out by women, the tea leaves are left to wither. They are then – somewhat unusually for Chinese green tea – repeatedly steamed to stop oxidation. In China, pan-firing is more commonly used, which gives the tea a light smoky aroma. In the case of China Sencha, however, this is not applied – after steaming, the leaves are rolled, dried, and sorted.
We buy our raspberry and linden blooms and leaves from certified suppliers in the EU. Our sources are verified by not only by years of experience, but also by numerous quality certificates. We thus bring in whole pieces of raspberries that have been treated by the so-called freeze-drying. This is quite a complex and costly vacuum freezing process. But it can keep the ingredients crisp, colorful and tasty.
