Orange Rooibos
Oranges have become so familiar that we may often skip them in search of something more exotic. And that's a shame! Not only do they smell amazing, but are also packed with vitamins and minerals. They help us overcome colds, improve digestion and relieve stress. The very appearance of a bright, vibrant orange can induce good mood. Doesn't it just remind you of sunshine?
Ingredients
91 % Rooibos, 3 % Orange peel, 3 % Dried orange chunks, Natural aromaBrew & Taste
The infusion, flavor and color of this loose tea exactly matches its composition – the beautiful, rich brown-orange infusion has an orange aroma and sweet rooibos flavor cut with juicy exotic fruits.
Because rooibos is naturally caffeine-free, we can safely recommend it to small children, pregnant and nursing women and people in recovery. For example, the Japanese prepare rooibos for schoolchildren with their lunch. Would you like to try it? Rooibos Orange tastes great as an ice tea. When chilled, its captivating freshness shines through even more.
Origins
The base for this loose-leaf tea could not have come from anywhere other than the far away South Africa. There, in the Cederberg Mountains, rooibos is harvested every autumn from the Cape tea bushes. It is a wild herb that grows in a limited area and, because it requires a specific cocktail of soil conditions, moisture, sunshine and altitude, it cannot be grown anywhere else in the world. At harvest time, the whole twigs and needle-like leaves are cut off, sent to special lines where they are chopped into roughly half-centimetre pieces and then they are naturally fermented in piles. The green plant parts turn mahogany brown. After drying in the sun, the rooibos is sorted according to quality, packaged and exported. Currently, its annual world production is about 3 million kilograms. It is exported to 135 countries and is also popular with the Japanese, who are famous for their tea ceremonies and millennia-old tea culture.
The oranges are from an EU supplier with whom we have worked for a long time. We always buy the highest quality and organic fruit from them. Our partner only accepts whole, ripe and healthy pieces for processing, which are preserved by a very gentle and rather demanding freeze-drying process, thanks to which the raw materials retain all their sensory properties and up to 90% of their vitamin content. We have also used purely natural flavoring, which adds harmony to the loose mixture and keeps it fragrant for longer.
These are not nature-identical or synthetic flavors, so you don't have to worry about adverse effects on your health. The natural flavoring does not cause heartburn or acidity. Because it is made without harmful chemical compounds, it has no negative effects on the health of consumers.
