Origins
To discover the origins of this unique tea blend, we have to travel to 2 continents.
The first 2 magical members of this tripe M mix grew in Asia, namely Japan for matcha and India for moringa. The final member, maca, can be found in South American Peru, where it's revered for its abilities to increase fertility in men.
But one after the other...
Japanese matcha is a world-famous tea powder used mainly for ceremonial purposes. It is made from the very fine leaves of the Chinese tea tree (Camellia sinensis). Hand harvesting, removal of stems and veins by a special technique, very delicate steaming and final grinding between granite stones all guarantee the highest quality. Matcha from Japanese tea gardens stands out with its bright green color and delicate, only slightly bitter and wonderfully sweet taste.
Moringa oleifera is not a shrub like a tea tree, but an actual tree. In India and Africa, it is considered a superfood because it can be used almost to its full potential. The flowers, pods, fruits and roots are commonly eaten, and the bark is made into ropes and mats. Then, of course, there are the leaves. It's the leaves in particular we used for this mix. They give it excellent beneficial properties and also a subtle natural flavor.
Maca should be sought not on the ground, but underneath it. The root of the plant, with the Latin name Lepidium meyenii Walp is used even in space and resembles a beet in appearance. It can be eaten raw, dried, roasted or even in the form of jam or fermented drinks. The Incas revered it as a sacred food and gave maca to their warriors to give them strength and endurance.
Finally, it is worth adding that all the ingredients in Matcha-Moringa-Maca tea come from organic farming. They therefore contain no harmful substances as they are very strictly checked for heavy metals and other toxins.
