Origins
The origin of the ingredients cannot be described in one sentence. Most of them were sourced from a verified supplier in the EU. But not all ingredients grow in Europe, so we ventured to South Africa for the rooibos. Nevertheless, wherever the fruit, herbs and spices come from, they are 100% natural, sourced from organic farming and carry as much health benefits as possible.
Cinnamon grows in Thailand, Indonesia, China and Burma, where it's native. It is the bark of the cinnamon tree, which grows up to 10m.
Rooibos is no-quite-tea. It is made from the leaves of the Cape tea tree, which only occur in the wilds of the mountains of the South African Cederberg. The needle-like leaves and twigs take on a beautiful mahogany color, through fermentation.
Ginger is native to Southeast Asia. It is a rhizome with a distinctive aroma and spicy taste.
Cardamom is a staple spice in India. But it is also grown in Sri Lanka, Guatemala and Tanzania. Pods with brownish-red seeds are used to flavor food or in folk medicine.
