Benefits of jasmine
Gift of the Gods. That is what they call jasmine. You do not have to be part of any religion to know that the aroma of jasmine is indeed divine. After all, in Persian, the name of this plant means "fragrant flower".
Jasmine is a beautiful flowering climbing shrub that loves the sun. Naturally found in Asia Minor and China, it can be planted in your garden. Apart from its astonishing flowers, which open only at night, you will be attracted by its sweet scent. No wonder it reigns supreme in the aromatherapy and cosmetics industry.
But tea lovers will also enjoy it. Jasmine tea is famous for its taste and aroma. But do not think of it as an infusion of pure dried jasmine. It is a classic tea (green, black) that is only "scented" with jasmine leaves and flowers.
The process is carried out by spreading the buds, collected in the morning, over the drying camellia sinensis leaves in the evening blending their aroma and permeating their flavour into the tea over a period of four hours. This process is repeated several times to ensure that the resulting infusion is of the highest possible quality.
Originally, jasmine tea was only for royalty. The first mentionings were associated with the Ming dynasty, but fortunately, it gradually became accessible to the popular classes. The infusion has a pleasantly silky taste and can relax your mind completely. However, it should be used with caution, especially by mothers-to-be, until the final stages of pregnancy.
