Origins
We have created a composition of flavors and aromas using fruits, herbs and spices from literally all over the world. To avoid having to travel thousands of miles to source each ingredient, we sourced them from a European supplier. They all undergo regular chemical analyses to make sure that the fruits, herbs and spices are free of heavy metals or other harmful substances.
Rooibos is native to the Cederberg Mountains of South Africa. This extremely susceptible shrub is found nowhere else on earth because it requires special soil composition, sunlight hours and rainfall. It is also very sensitive to industrial pollution. In most cases, rooibos is fermented, but we have opted for its green, natural form.
Sea buckthorn was originally found only in Northeast Asia, but today it can also be found in Europe. It is a thorny shrub with distinctive orange fruits.
Aronia is also known as chokeberries. It grows wild in eastern North America, but since the 1700s it can also be found in Europe.
Guava is the fruit of an exotic tree that grows mainly in South America. It looks a bit like a pear, the flesh is yellowish-white to red.
We have tuned our Green Rooibos Sea Buckthorn-Guava loose tea with a few drops of natural flavoring. We never use synthetic fragrance carriers in our products, so they do not acidify the body, cause heartburn or irritate the stomach.
