Ingredients
Rooibos, Honeybush, Strawberries, Sour cherries, Lemon balm, Yellow raisins, Raisins, AromaBrew & Taste
By name alone, this loose-leaf tea must be magical. And it is! The magical sweetness of rooibos and honeybush is complemented by the fruity freshness of strawberries and cherries. Together, they play a very delicious, smooth and slightly nutty note. You won't find any bitter or astringent notes in Aladdin tea. The infusion has a dark mahogany color.
Thanks to its composition, Aladdin is also perfect for iced tea. Just fill 2/3 of a tall glass or jug with ice cubes and pour lukewarm tea over them. The result is a refreshing drink full of vitamins and antioxidants, suitable for a picnic or by the pool.
Origins
We mix this tea ourselves. Rooibos and honeybush from their African homes, and we source our fruits and herbs from a certified supplier in the EU, so we can be sure they are free of heavy metals and other harmful substances. In addition, the fruit is preserved using the very gentle freeze-drying method. The fruit does not lose its vitamin content and retains all its sensory properties. After pouring hot water over the fruit, it looks, smells and tastes as fresh. We regularly travel to South Africa to buy rooibos. The twigs and leaves of the Cape tea tree, which grows exclusively in the Cederberg mountains, are processed in the traditional way. After harvesting, the locals chop them into smaller pieces, pile them in heaps and leave them to ferment. When the process is complete, the originally green material turns mahogany and an intoxicating sweet aroma emerges. Finally, the rooibos is dried in the sun.
Honeybush got its name because it tastes very similar to honey. The bushes from which it is harvested are found on the steep slopes of the Eastern and Southern Cape of South Africa. They are very sensitive to industrial pollution of water, soil and air, making it almost impossible to grow them anywhere other than in their original natural habitat. Whole twigs and leaves are harvested. Farmers cut them and ferment them. Honeybush is also dried in the sun.
