Ingredients
100 % Black tea Golden DragonBrew & Taste
The tea tastes slightly spicy and refreshing. That combined with the curled golden-coloured leaves define the unique Golden Dragon tea. It's easily recognizable among other black teas, both in appearance and taste.
Origins
Tea gardens in Guangxi province mainly produce jasmine tea and Pu-erh, black tea being one of the specialities that only few select growers focus on. The autonomous region located in southern China on the border with Vietnam is mountainous, cloud-shrouded and rich. Chinese tea plants (Camellia sinensis) thrive there. The tea season starts in mid-March and ends in November. The local tea leaves have a typical pleasant aroma, are grown organically and meet the strictest European hygiene standards.
Golden Dragon tea is harvested and processed exclusively by hand – its quality and appearance reflect that. The tiny, curled leaves dance and unfurl beautifully after pouring water over them. The distinctive yellow-gold tips are recognizable, indicating the exceptional quality of the tea. These are the youngest and most valuable tea shoots, sought after for their delicious taste and aroma, but also for their concentration of health benefits. Of course, there is a great emphasis on the fermentation and drying process during the production of Golden Dragon, since the quality of the final product depends on them. Everything is done under the supervision of the plantation's general manager, who is responsible for the processing of the harvest.
This rare black tea is exported from the country in limited quantities, but thanks to its distinctive taste, it will appeal to any demanding tea lover. You can brew up to three infusions. We recommend pouring the first one for only 2-3 minutes and the next one for 2 minutes longer.
