Origins
Although each herb and fruit we have used in this blend comes from a different place, they all meet the highest standards of quality. In fact, our European supplier's job is not just to give us ingredients, but to give us ingredients that meet strict standards. They have to have every batch of ingredients tested, which they do regularly. We then blend them into tea blends that care for more than just your palate. Because we have prepared this tea for an evening of relaxation, it contains no caffeine-rich ingredients. Instead, it is full of herbs. After all, they were used by the old folk healers, so in addition to the conclusions of modern medicine, a long history confirms their benefits.
Lemon balm, for example, is the number one herb. The Mediterranean perennial contains beneficial essential oils such as citral, geraniol and tannins and flavonoids. Harvested whole, it can be used not only to make tea, but also as a condiment or ingredient in drinks and salads.
Lemongrass is a wonderful match for lemon balm. Behind its benefits and flavor, we need to see the same essential oils that lemon balm contains (citral, geraniol) as well as antioxidants and other beneficial nutrients. It too has a wide range of uses in the kitchen – lemongrass is used as a seasoning, especially in Asian countries. Its scent repels insects, which is why it is often included in repellents and similar products.
Linden blossoms should also be mentioned. If you are wondering about their content, you should know that they are rich in mucilaginous polysaccharides, a variety of flavonoids, phenols, terpenes, and tannins.
