The yarrow is widespread throughout Europe and Asia. It grows on drier sandy soils, meadows, and alongside forests. It is a perennial up to 80cm tall with signature, ladder-shaped leaves.
Valerian is a fragrant herb that can grow in multiple varieties. It favors humid, nutrient-rich soil and reaches up to 2m. The properties of its roots have been known since the Middle Ages.
