The infusion is vibrant pinkish red with bright reflections, like you’d see on fresh fruit – lively from the first glance. The taste is strong and fruity, slightly creamy, and full. You’ll easily distinguish the sweet note of strawberries and peach, which is underlined with notes of dragon fruit. Raspberries and hibiscus add a slight sour note, making each sip pleasantly light and perfectly balanced.
The result is a juicy tea full of joy to please and refresh you, no matter if it’s hot and iced.
Origins
Starring in this blend: papaya. It comes from tropical regions and is valued for its contribution to normal digestion, lipid metabolism, and the body's natural defenses. In many cultures, papaya is a symbol of lightness and vitality, and it brings energy, joy, and a sense of balance to fruit teas.
Hibiscus also plays a significant role here, giving the tea its vibrant reddish color. Hibiscus is associated with vitality, refreshing the body, and normal vascular system function. It’s also traditionally used during stressful life situations, when your body needs a little help with flushing excess water to feel lighter again.
Dragon fruit, or pitahaya, brings with it an exotic touch from Central America and Asia. It’s not the central flavor of this blend, but will impress you with its standing regardless. The delicate, soft flavor gives the tea a slightly playful, modern vibe. Strawberries and raspberries add summery juiciness, while roasted apple provides a sweet and rounded base.
The Latin name for peach means ‘Persian apple’. It came to Europe via Persia and was long considered a fruit from distant lands. Peaches are used fresh, dried, and canned, and can be found in desserts, fruit salads, and drinks. Thanks to their versatility, they’re among the fruits that have found a place in almost every kitchen. And, of course, in this tea blend.
If you’re looking for a tea that won’t end up forgotten in the cupboard, this is the one. Dragon Fruit & Peach tastes great when prepared hot or as an iced tea with fresh fruit and ice.
