Ingredients
100 % BrahmiBrew & Taste
Brahmi powder has a light, grey-green color. When mixed in water, you get a milky, cloudy drink with a bitter, herbal taste. The aroma is grassy.
Origins
No wonder brahmi is so popular. After all, its name supposedly means "cosmic knowledge". Who wouldn't want to have that?
It is also said that the use of brahmi is as old as Ayurveda itself. It has been in use for perhaps 3,000 years and still has a loyal following all over the world. Yet if you were to look for it in natural habitats in India, you would have to take great care and arm yourself with patience. It is an extremely inconspicuous plant.
Brahmi (Bacopa monniera) is found in the humid to swampy plains of South India. It is a low herb with small leaves that covers the soil with a green carpet no taller than 10cm. It flowers with delicate pale blue flowers. It requires moisture and humidity to survive, and adequate nutrition is essential.
Brahmi is often added to supplements or made into an isolated extract. But those who seek the purest form of this rare herb reach for the powder, which has been produced under strict conditions by simply grinding the dried plant matter. This is the only way to get the maximum of the valuable substances that brahmi has to offer.
