Ingredients
Green tea China Sencha, 25 % Coconut rasps, Natural aroma, 2 % Almond slicesBrew & Taste
Almond Cookies tea gives a full-bodied, yellow infusion. The flavor depends, of course, on its ingredients. Sencha gives it sweetness and a certain level of refreshing astringency, while the almonds and coconut add an exotic note.
This tea can be enjoyed as a hot drink, but it also tastes great as an iced tea.
Origins
Chinese sencha is produced by several tea gardens. Most are plantations in Fujian, Zhejiang, Yunnan, Wenshan or Yun Ming provinces. The green tea leaves are folded to give them their typical shape. In China, sencha is pan-roasted, unlike in Japan. This gives it an attractive smoky aroma.
Mention of almonds can be found in the Old Testament. Almond trees are botanically related to apricots grow to 5m. They are native to northern Africa and western Asia. Today, almond trees are grown in the warm European climate. After flowering, the trees bear a green, hairy drupe. When it ripens, it turns purple and opens. Inside is the stone. Once it has been peeled, the almond – the kernel – can be extracted.
The natural flavoring we have added to Almond Cookies tea does not cause heartburn, stomach irritation or acidity. It does not contain synthetic fragrance carriers. However, a few drops of natural flavoring can preserve the original taste and aroma of the ingredients.
