Raspberry Caress – Green Tea
A hug from a friend will feel warm no matter the weather, and Raspberry Caress feels just like that. Green tea from Yunnan creates a solid foundation, soft raspberries add a sweet and sour note, and strawberries, redcurrant, and pineapple are the metaphorical cherry on top. It's great as an iced tea: just brew it like normal, let cool, and serve with ice, fresh mint, and raspberries. It's the perfect caress in every sip.
Ingredients
Green tea Yunnan OP, 4 % Dried Raspberry chunks, Dried strawberry chunks, Redcurrant, Pineapple granulate (pineapple, sugar, antioxidant: citric acid), AromaBrew & Taste
After brewing, Raspberry Caress magically transforms into a light golden infusion with the subtle red hue of fruit. The taste is dominated by green tea, shortly followed by raspberries; not overtly sweet or artificial, but natural, a little bit sour, almost like grabbing a handful of them straight from the shrub.
Strawberries make the entire impression a bit rounder, redcurrant adds a sour spark, and pineapple subtly throws in some tropical sweetness in the finish.
Origins
Yunnan is located in southwestern China, and botanists consider it the birthplace of the tea plant. Some of the tea bushes there have seen things we can’t even imagine and local farmers tend to them with the respect such a rarity deserves. Yunnan green tea is processed slowly and carefully, and believe us when we say that you can really taste the difference.
Green tea is one of the most thoroughly studied plants in the world, and the list of its benefits is quite extensive. It's an antioxidant that helps maintain normal cholesterol levels, healthy blood vessels, and the ability to concentrate and think clearly. Research suggests it has positive effects on gut microbiota, digestion, dental and gum health, skin condition, and even normal heart function. Few plants have so much to their credit, and few taste as good.
Raspberries are as old as humanity itself – or, almost. People were gathering wild raspberries long before organized agriculture even existed, and the ancient Greeks and Romans swore by them.
Redcurrants deserve more respect than people usually give them. They practically grow in gardens by themselves, yet they pack a hefty dose of vitamin C and flavonoids. Pineapple adds bromelain, an enzyme traditionally associated with digestive support, and rounds out the entire blend with its tropical sweetness.
