Magical Christmas – Gift Tin 200g
When the snow is falling and the kitchen smells like Christmas pastries, it’s time to brew a pot of festive tea. The sweetness of apples, the warmth of cinnamon, and the airy brightness of rosehips will thaw both the body and soul and remind us that the most precious moments are the ones we spend with our loved ones. And once you’re done with the tea, keep the tin. It’s a nice storage for cookies, baking supplies, or tiny treasures.
Ingredients
Apple, Rose Hip skin, Hibiscus, Raisins, Indonesian Cinnamon, 2 % Almonds, AromaBrew & Taste
Each sip uncovers sweet notes of apples and raisins, perfectly balanced with the pleasant sourness of rosehips. Cinnamon adds a touch of warmth without overpowering the other flavors and almonds smooth it out into a nice, creamy experience. Add the captivatingly ruby color once it’s brewed and even the most hardy of non-tea drinkers will fall for its spell.
Origins
People have dried apples for millenia. When there were no freezers or shops full of imported fruit, people had to fend for themselves. Dried apples were stored in attics, pantries, or storerooms and lasted for months, maybe even years, during which they were able to provide our bodies with beneficial nutrients.
Rosehips are one of the most beautiful gifts of autumn nature. They almost glow on the branches and contain more vitamin C than citrus fruits. Together with other vitamins, such as A, B, E, and K, they’re a small natural apothecary. Hibiscus gives the tea a rich ruby color and also provides a good dose of antioxidants.
Raisins taste sweet and provide the body with fiber, potassium, and iron. Drying increases the amount of certain antioxidants in grapes even further. Indonesian cinnamon comes from Sumatra and Java and is often milder than Chinese cinnamon. It used to be so expensive that traders underwent risky journeys halfway around the world to obtain it. And almonds, containing vitamin E, magnesium, and healthy fats, perfectly round off the whole impression.
Magical Christmas is a blend of flavors from faraway Asia, the fragrant Mediterranean, and familiar Europe. Each ingredient has its own story and piece of tradition, and together they create a drink that warms the body and soul.
